An interview with Tracey Warren

Extra Care Manager

What does your role involve?

I’m responsible for the day-to-day running of our four extra care schemes. No two days are ever the same, but the best part is seeing the difference moving to Lace makes — helping people regain independence and feel part of a thriving community.

What first attracted you to Lace — and what keeps you here?

I came from community care because I wanted to support people in a more independent-living environment. I’ve stayed because Lace offers real career development, encouragement and transparency. Everyone feels valued and connected.

What do you enjoy most?

The fast pace and variety — and seeing residents grow in confidence and wellbeing once they settle into a safe, supportive place.

How does your work make a difference?

Many residents arrive after experiencing isolation. Helping them build friendships, regain independence and feel part of a resident-led community is genuinely life-changing.

Describe working at Lace in three words:

Achievement. Satisfying. Humbling.

What would you say to someone thinking of joining?

If you’re passionate about making a positive difference, Lace is an inspiring place to work. You’ll be supported, heard and able to make a real impact.
