Volunteering at Lace

Our volunteers bring energy, kindness and connection — helping neighbours, supporting events, and making every Lace community a place to belong. From serving tea to tending gardens, every role adds warmth and purpose to daily life.

HELPING YOUR COMMUNITY THRIVE

Every act of kindness counts

Volunteers make our schemes brighter, friendlier and more connected — proving that small gestures can have a big impact.

Whether it’s leading craft sessions, helping at coffee mornings or supporting new residents, there’s a role for every interest and ability.

To apply go to Our Volunteers Page.

Many of our residents volunteer within their own communities — running activities, caring for gardens or offering a friendly chat to neighbours.

We also welcome volunteers from the wider community who want to share their time, skills or companionship with residents.

We provide guidance, safeguarding training and ongoing support so you always feel confident and valued in your role.

People: Your kindness creates connection.

Places: Shared spaces become communities through your care.

Partnerships: Together we make a difference.

Moments that make a difference

From laughter over lunch to shared hobbies and special events — volunteers help create the spirit of Lace.

Help serve lunches, host games or lend a hand during themed events like afternoon teas or national celebrations.

Join gardening groups or small DIY projects that keep outdoor spaces welcoming and well-loved.

If you have a passion — crafts, photography, music or storytelling — we’d love you to share it.

Our volunteers help make birthdays, fundraising days and community celebrations memorable for residents and families alike.

Places: Our schemes thrive with your energy and care.
