Keeping your home warm and affordable
Help with fuel bills, discounts and advice from government schemes and energy company hardship funds.
You may qualify for:
Warm Home Discount – £150 payment for those on Pension Credit or low income
Winter Fuel Payment – £100 – £300 for most people born before 25 September 1957
Cold Weather Payment – £25 for each week of freezing weather
British Gas Energy Trust, Scottish Power Hardship Fund, OVO Energy Assistance, E.ON Energy Fund, EDF Priority Services Register, and Octopus Energy’s Octo Assist Fund all offer help with debt, appliance repair or energy-efficiency advice.

Be cautious of calls or emails offering ‘energy refunds’ or ‘repairs’.
If it feels suspicious, stop and check.
Anyone claiming to be from Lace or a utility company should show official photo ID before entering your home.
