Two colleagues kicked off 2018 with two promotions to managerial positions.
Agne Vaivadiene is now Support Team Leader at Olsen Court in Lincoln, while Tracey Warren oversees Brick Kiln Place in Grantham and Worth Court in Bourne as Support Team Leader for both sites.
Before being promoted, both were working as Support Co-ordinators at the housing with extra care schemes, which are designed for older people who have high support and personal care needs but still value living independently.
Agne, who was recently presented with her 10-year service award at LACE Housing’s annual presentation evening, joined the organisation in 2007 as part of the kitchen staff. She said: “I spent eight years working as part of a close-knit team at Olsen Court, after a year of working on the bank team at the former care homes, so found it quite daunting when I first became a Support Co-ordinator as it comes with more responsibility.
“It was especially challenging as I had taken some time out to have my children, but I soon found my confidence and threw myself into the role. I

enjoy progressing as much as possible in life, so when the opportunity arose to become Support Team Leader I couldn’t pass it up.”
Tracey has spent the last seven and a half years working her way up through the ranks at LACE Housing. She said: “I started as a Support Assistant and quickly progressed to Support Co-ordinator. I love the fact that no matter your position in the organisation, you are always treated equally. I often sit and think to myself, there’s no place I’d rather be.”
Tracey feels confident in her latest role as she has spent the last 14 months as acting manager while the former manager was on maternity leave.
She added: “I always assisted the manager and made sure I learned most aspects of her job. Even while I was Support Co-ordinator, I stepped up on numerous occasions to ensure I was familiar with the role.
“I want to keep the schemes running to the same high standard and work closely with the support team to ensure we continue to deliver an outstanding service.”
