We’re pleased to announce that we are continuing to support charitable causes this year by collecting donations for homelessness charity P3 Lincolnshire and local food banks.
For P3, our residents, staff and volunteers are donating toiletries, sanitary items and more, as well as cleaning items and essentials such as toilet rolls to help those who secure accommodation. These donations will ensure that people can move into their new home with items to cover their basic needs.
The charity is also grateful for seasonal donations, so in the lead-up to and during the summer and winter months we will provide them with bottles of water and sun cream and hats, scarves and gloves.
We are also collecting for food banks in Lincoln, Grantham and Bourne by having drop-off points at each of our schemes.
Posters listing the most needed items, such as tinned carrots, potatoes and meals in a tin, tea and juice, will be put up around the association.
Representatives from each food bank have been invited to join residents for coffee at their nearest extra care schemes to spend time with the people who will be donating throughout the year.
Nick said: “We feel it’s important to give back to the communities our residents enjoy living in, and our donations to P3 Lincolnshire and local food banks will work towards helping some of those who are most in need.
“As ever, thanks to the hard work and dedication of our residents, staff and volunteers, 2020 will be another charitable year for the association.”
