Following the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, we are currently in the process of re-launching our Resident Involvement Group using a more blended approach of both Virtual and Face to Face meetings when restriction allow. Our resident involvement group provides a real opportunity to develop our tenant scrutiny and continuously improve our services enabling us to offer Valve for Money to our residents.
In addition to our Resident Involvement Group, we hold a series of resident and leaseholder meetings once a year, with all residents being invited to attend one of these meetings. Due to Government guidance in response to the current Coronavirus pandemic, all resident meetings are currently on hold. Further dates will be announced once the restrictions have been lifted.
We also welcome residents getting involved in the way we work, in less formal ways, to help us in managing their homes and the neighbourhood where they live by:
- accessing social media – we use Facebook, Twitter and our website to engage with our residents on our day to day activities;
- participating in resident meetings held regularly within our housing for extra care schemes and we encourage residents to consider forming a residents’ association in their own scheme;
- nominating our staff who you feel are deserving of being considered for an award at our Annual Awards and Presentation Evening for staff/volunteers.
- becoming a Scheme Champion – monitoring service contracts and/or building safety;
