As you may already know, the RNLI was our charity of the year in 2017 and we’re delighted to announce that we raised a total of £4,469.43.
That’s thanks to our staff and volunteers, and their friends and family members, who got stuck in to various challenges including the 10K races in Lincoln and Skegness and even wore their wellies to work. Of course, some cake was enjoyed along the way too!
Our Chief Executive Nick Chambers visited the RNLI lifeboat station in Skegness to formally present the cheque, and was lucky enough to be given a tour inside the impressive Shannon Class Lifeboat – a special privilege considering it isn’t usually open to the public.
Sarah Whattam, East Midlands Community Fundraising Manager for the RNLI, also surprised Nick with a framed certificate and a plaque as a thank you and a lasting memory of our support.
We’d like to thank everyone who supported our fundraising efforts throughout 2017.
Although LIVES is our chosen charity for 2018, we are going to stay in touch with everyone we met at the RNLI and continue to support the lifeboat in Skegness as it is such a fantastic cause that’s local to our Chapman Court site.
