Following a hearty breakfast, we left Osmotherley at 9.15am. Other than a brisk wind, the day was much brighter than Day 1, which remained the case until early afternoon when we faced severe weather conditions on the moors. Hills, rain, high winds, hail stones, thunder and lightening all contributed to a cold and exhausting day. Thanks to the owners of our overnight accommodation, warm transport, including heated seats, was very welcome as we made our way to Great Ayton at 7.15pm. We are all incredibly proud of Elliot who has made it through his second day, much of which was at the front of the pack.
The day concluded with a meal at the Royal Oak and involved the consumption of Theakstons Old Peculiar. Whilst this numbed the pain it didn't prevent us all hobling to bed!
