Sponsored by LACE Housing and Beal Homes, Welton Arrows U17's football team played their final game of an extended season at home against Leasingham last Sunday, 20th June, the final score was 3:3. The draw ensured that Welton Arrows retained their 5th place position within the Mid Lincs Youth League. It was a hard fought game and an emotional afternoon as it was the final game of the season, the final game in which the team would play together and the final game for Manager Ian Johns who retired at the end of the season.
Nick presented a gift to Ian on behalf of the team recognising the support he had given over many years enabling the lads the opportunity to fulfil their passion to play football.
LACE Housing and Beal Homes have jointly sponsored the team for two seasons. Nick said 'it is important that, as a local housing association, we support the communities in which we serve and we very much look forward to developing accommodation for older people within the popular village of Welton'.
