This Extra Care Scheme is situated within in the popular village of Welton. The development will provide safe and secure homes for those over the age of 55 consisting of 62 affordable apartments and 10 bungalows, as well as a communal lounge facility, mobility scooter store and landscaped gardens. The scheme is located within easy reach of convenience stores, takeaways, doctor’s surgery and public transport. 

Created in partnership with West Lindsey District Council, Lincolnshire County Council and with the support of the Parish Council, the development has been made possible thanks to a £5.6m grant from the Governments Homes England as part of its Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes Programme. RG Carter are appointed works contractor and partners include Thornton-Firkin, Longhurst Group, Saunders Boston Architects, Ward Cole and Triangle. The Development is estimated to be completed and available for occupancy during February 2025. A year in which the Association celebrates its Diamond Jubilee, 60 years providing Housing and Support Services for Older People across Greater Lincolnshire.

How to Apply

Accommodation at Diamond Place, our new Housing with Extra Care Scheme in Welton by Lincoln, is available for people over the age of 55 and have an assessed care and/or support need.

A local connection criteria is also required for this scheme. This means that those in category (a) will be considered first, followed by category (b) and so forth:

a) Has permanently resided for 5 years or more in the parish of Welton
b) Has permanently resided for 1 – 5 years within the parish of Welton
c) Has permanently resided in one of the adjacent villages for 5 years or more
d) Has permanently resided in one of the adjacent villages for 1 – 5 years
e) Has permanently resided for 5 years or more in West Lindsey
f) Has permanently resided for 1 – 5 years in West Lindsey

g) Resides within the County of Lincolnshire
