We’ve Officially Opened The Burrows

We are delighted to have officially opened our new £4.8m housing development for over 55s in Nettleham.

The Burrows consists of 22 two-bedroom apartments for rent and 14 two-bedroom bungalows available on a shared ownership basis and is designed to allow people to remain independent in a familiar place, maintaining existing links with friends and family, as they get older.

It is the last in a trio of developments we’ve completed within the past 12 months, after opening Brighton Place in Washingborough and Wellington View in Ingham in 2019.

The access road has been named Frith Close by Nettleham Parish Council in recognition of the service of former councillor Alf Frith.

To mark the opening of The Burrows, children from Nettleham’s infant and junior schools – who named the scheme – unveiled a plaque alongside Councillor John Evans, Chairman of Nettleham Parish Council.

We have now reached a significant milestone in our mission to meet the demand for homes that are both affordable and suitable for Lincolnshire’s ageing population.

The success of the association is very much down to our people, partnerships and places and we are exploring further development opportunities in other areas of the county.

Complete with countryside views, The Burrows is within easy reach of a wide range of amenities including shops, a Post Office, public houses and the village hall, and residents have access to the community and public transport on their doorstep.

Construction began in July 2018, after the Nettleham Parish Plan revealed a growing need for affordable accommodation for older people in the area.
The development has been part-funded by Homes England through its Shared Ownership and Affordable Homes Programme, which aims to increase housing options for older people in England by March 2022.

While some people are already moving into our apartments, our bungalows are being marketed by Mundys Estate Agents via: mundys.net/property/sales/lincoln/frith-close-lincoln-102125018900/
