The Think Jessica Campaign Calls at LACE Housing

LACE Housing staff and 20 residents at Worth Court in Bourne got a lesson on scam awareness by PCSO Graeme Parrott from Bourne and Billingborough Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) on Wednesday 17th May.

PCSO Parrott spent time highlighting the risks of both telephone and postal scams to residents and encouraged them to share what they already knew about how to deal with anything they suspected might be a scam.

PCSO Parrott highlighted the Think Jessica campaign, which aims to protect elderly and vulnerable people from scams and encourage residents to be wary when providing personal information to anyone they do not know.

The residents were invited to watch the Think Jessica video and had an opportunity to ask PCSO Parrott questions.

Citizens Advice suggests that anyone who suspects they have been targeted by fraudsters should contact the Action Fraud helpline on 0300 123 2040 or Textphone 0300 123 2050.
