Nick faced a further challenge in June thanks to Neil Coote, Director and Business Development Manager for the Lindum Group. Neil, who is a Pilot and member of the Royal Airforce College Flying Club at Cranwell invited Nick to join him on a flight from RAF Cranwell to Rutland Water and back in a Grob 115a. Following a pre-flight briefing and check, they took off from RAF Cranwell maintaining an altitude of 2700 feet. The flight path incorporated Barkston Heath, Grantham, Stamford and Rutland Water before returning for two touch and go circuits and one circuit re-join and safely land at RAF Cranwell. During the flight Nick took control of the plane as well as taking ariel photographs of Belton and Burghley House.
‘I am not great with heights, two steps on a ladder are a maximum for me, and so this was certainly a challenge, but with grateful thanks to Neil, this proved to be both an amazing and most memorable experience’. said Nick.
