Day 7, the Final Day! - Cleveland Way

We've done it!!!!

Entertained along the way by staff from Brick Kiln Place and supported by Craigs Dad, we are pleased to report that following the final 10 miles from Scarborough to Filey, we have completed our Sponsored 110 mile trek along the Cleveland Way, from Helmsley to Filey, in aid of the Nicholls Spinal Injury Foundation.

Despite the aches and pains it has been worth every pledged penny. There has been many challenges along the way that has tested our endurance, from Storm Katie, high peaks, baron moors and mud. But despite this, this year's team have worked together, carried along by the ongoing support from back home and endless funnies along the way.

As we make our way back to Lincolnshire and recover over the weekend, a big thank you to Bob, Craig, Helen, Sara, Philip, Rachel, Trevor, Karen, Nick and most of all Bobs best mate, ELLIOT,  who despite being only 11, has not only been the fastest walker but tolerated the rest of the group. We are all incredibly proud of him as he crossed the finish line first.

There are further fundraising events planned in support of this year's chosen charity, the next being the London Marathon on a treadmill on 24th April at Brick Kiln Place which we hope to see you there. Refreshments will be served throughout the day. Following various fundraising events we intend to present the total sum raised towards the end of the year.

And finally, thank you to everyone who has supported us in any way, for your encouragement and kind donations. The sore legs, knees, backs and blisters have been worth it. We undertake a challenge such as this every two years, so who knows what the 2018 trek will have in store for us but with Bobs Werthers, Helens floppy hat and Elliots inspiration, we are ready and equipped to take on our next epic walk!
