Our Committee of Management collectively possess the qualities required to make decisions and monitor our performance. Their knowledge, skills and experience are monitored on a periodic basis to ensure that they are competent in their role and responsibilities. They appoint our Executive team to manage existing operations and implement our approved strategic plan. Our Committee of Management meets on a quarterly basis in accordance with our Rules and Code of Governance.
OurCommittee of Management is led by our Chairman, Mr Allen Horne and is supported by our Vice Chair, Mr Philip Wright. Mrs Barbara Fowler serves as our Honorary Secretary.
Our Committee of Management and Executive team are a most valuable resource and are subject to ongoing training in order that they can effectively fulfil their duties.
Nick Chambers - Chief Executive
Nick has worked within the social housing sector for over 26 years, 19 of which as Chief Executive at LACE Housing. As a member of the Chartered Institute of Management, Nick has gained considerable experience, knowledge and understanding regarding the housing, care and support needs of older people. Nick is Chairman of the Greater Lincolnshire Housing Association Partnership and Lincolnshire Independent Living Partnership. For over 14 years Nick has provided services to Education and currently serves as a Director of a local Academy.
Philip Hobson - Director of Operations
Philip has wide strategic and operational management and consultancy experience across several sectors and brings specific understanding and knowledge in the design, development and management of housing premises, operations and associated services to the Executive team.
Kevin White - Director of Finance
Kevin joined the Association in 2002 following 25 years in the banking industry. As a Chartered Associate of the Institute of Financial Services, Kevin continues to bring valuable treasury skills and knowledge to the Association in support of its development plans. Kevin also takes overall responsibility for the Associations IT systems and had overseen the implementation of specialist housing management and accounting, and time and attendance/HR software to gain efficiencies in the work of the finance and payroll functions.
Anne Graves - Operation Manager
Having worked in social housing for almost a quarter of a century, Anne joins the team following her role as Head of Tenancy Services for Midlands housing association Longhurst Group. Anne's formal qualifications and considerable experience in housing, human resources and health and safety demonstrate her dedication to providing excellent and innovative services. Anne holds a postgraduate diploma in housing policy and practice and has been studying for an HR qualification.

Allen Horne - Chairman
This years Chair of LACE Housing and Committee Member for 6 years. Allen was previously employed as People and Performance Manager (HR) for 30 years at a large regional Co-operative Society and subsequently as HR Manager within the care sector. Allen has previously served as Chair of Lincolnshire Grief and Loss and is holder of Queens Silver Jubilee Medal for voluntary work within the National Children's Home.
Philip Wright - Vice Chair

Born in 1948, educated at Monks Road Infants and Junior School, then 1959 to 1964 at Lincoln School Wragby Road Lincoln.
Joined Lincoln County Borough Council Education Department, transferring to City Treasurers department in 1969. Qualified as a public sector accountant in 1972.
Following several posts within the City Treasure's department Philip was finally appointed City Treasurer in 1990. Following restructuring, he was made Director of Resources in 2003, retiring in 2007.
Married with one daughter interests are cycling, gardening and eating out.
Barbara Fowler - Honorary Secretary
Barbara has worked in the housing sector for over 25 years; initially with the District Council in rent services, before specializing in supported housing and subsequently transferring to a Housing Association under a LSVT.
Barbara had responsibility for all aspects of supported housing, Right to Buy and administration and involvement in strategic planning of services such as maintenance, housing management, rent services, development, financial services and IT.
James Hazel - Committee Member
James Hazel qualified as a solicitor in 2008 and specialised in corporate law, commercial litigation and employment law. He was an equity partner in a regional law firm where he held various departmental headships. In 2016, James retired from legal practice but continues to have involvement with various third sector associations and is soon to be a published author of crime fiction.
Jessica Sellick - Committee Member
Jessica is a researcher/project manager at Rose Regeneration (based in Lincoln) and the Rural Services Network. She works on economic development and enterprise issues in rural and coastal places throughout the UK. Jessica has a PhD in Geographical Sciences and is a Chartered Geographer (CGeog) and Member of the Institute of Economic Development.
Karen Seddon - Committee Member
Karen's professional background is in nursing, encompassing elderly care and rehabilitation. In a voluntary capacity she has 13 years experience as a school governor and Vice Chair, spending three years as a parent elected added member of LCC for education and scrutiny. She has also worked closely with SSAFA at Cranwell as Vice chair of their committee.
She has personal experience of the positive difference LACE can make to older peoples lives and is delighted to be a member of the Committee of Management.
Bob Walder - Committee Member
Bob worked in the sector throughout his career; retiring as Chief Executive of the Longhurst Group in 2015. He led the group’s growth from 800 to 18,500 homes, building 500 homes a year and to a turnover of over £100 million. He has lived in Lincolnshire for 27 years.
